Monday, September 14, 2020 |
The NAFHA executive and team representatives met tonight via zoom and a vote to suspend the 2020/21 season was passed.
We know this news is disheartening however NAFHA will be back for the 2021/22 season. Until then the league will be hosting the following option to provide women a place to play.
NAFHA will use city ice slots to allow individual players to sign up for a 1 night a week modified drop in game, on a first come first serve model. There will be ice slots allocated for each division based on interest. Players would be able to sign up for the year and pay $330 (estimated) to be eligible to play once a week for a 15 week season.
Each ice slot would have a maximum number of 26 participants allowed per week out of a pool of 35 people. 5 days before the game time, registration would open for the game that week and you would log in to attend. The players signed up would show up with a dark and light coloured jersey and teams would be decided at the rink. Refs would be provided by the league.
Registration timelines and payment options will be forthcoming. Games will not start until after October 12, 2020. Stay tuned for an email with more information. |
