GAME SHEET -Email issue and STATS update |

Please note, that we believe the email Stats issues have been resolved. Sorry for the inconvience. Please check the boxscores on the website to see if your game has been posted. All game sheets will be entered in and up-to-date as of February 10th. ....the Statustician is going on holidays! :-) However, late sheets will still be accounted for.
Also, a side note to the teams:
1. Please make your rosters are current on the website (names (maiden/changed), numbers and subs/aff) and that your VP has a copy of this. Please contact the stats email if you are having issues with this.
2. ALL GAME SHEETS MUST BE PROPERLY FILLED OUT - DATE, TIME, AND TEAMS PLAYING. Rosters and number must match the web roster or changes must be INDICATED ON THE GAME SHEET. Also, if its not indicated on the game sheet, please indicate whom your goalie is. The game sheets must also be signed!!!
Friendly reminder too that all game sheets must be sent to the email.

Two notes, as these have been coming up a lot:
1. If you are asked to verify your email by replying, please do so. There is a problem with the email that gets sent where the link it says you can click on does not work. Not surprisingly, this has made people think the email is a scam. It's not. Please just click reply and send the email on its way. This will add you to the stats mailbox "safe senders" list. We were having a huge problem with spam in that box and turning on this feature has eliminated it.
2. Please do your best to shrink your submissions to a reasonable transmission size. We don't need the absolute highest quality scan your scanner can make - we just need a black and white, legible copy. The 30MB game sheets are eating up a lot of our monthly bandwidth allotment. |

Game sheets are to be emailed to stats@nafha.ab.ca. As per NAFHA regulations, game sheets must be emailed by the home team within 72 hours of the end of the game. Failure to do so will result in a fine of $50 for every 72 hour period in which the game sheet is late.
Game sheets with major penalties (any 5 minute penalty), misconducts, game misconducts, gross misconducts or match penalties must be emailed to governor@nafha.ab.ca along with the incident report within 24 hours of the end of the game. Failure to submit a game sheet requiring discipline review within 24 hours will result in a fine of $50 for every 24 hour period that the game sheet is late.
When emailing the game sheets please put the game being submitted (and date played) in the subject line.

Affiliation Clarification |

This is to clarify who can affiliate and from where and refers specifically to Tiers 1 and 2.
There are two types of teams in T1 and T2: Provincial and Non-Provincial. Non-Provincial teams are those that do not apply and pay for Provincial play. Teams that are classified as non-Provincial are not eligible to affiliate. This means that if your team does not submit your Notice of Intent to participate in Provincials (and pay the requisite bond), your roster cannot have any affiliate players.
Teams that are classified as Provincial can affiliate from either Provincial or Non-Provincial teams from a lower division or category. You can affiliate either one (1) entire team or up to 19 named players.
Affiliation must be filed prior to December 15th.
You must receive written permission (email, fax or letter) from the player's regular team coach and/or designate prior to each game an affiliate plays with your team.
After January 10th, an affiliated player may only play five games with the team to which they are affiliated. If they participate in a sixth game, they will no longer be eligible to participate in games with her original team (only the affiliate team).

Just a reminder to team admins: DO NOT add players to your roster through your team login. They will be deleted.
All players need to be approved before they can appear on your roster. Please send your roster sheet to your VP. Once it has been approved by Hockey Alberta, your players will be added to your roster.
As per NAFHA and Hockey Alberta, all players must be registered prior to participating in a game. If a player participates prior to being registered, they are considered an illegal player. Your team will forfeit the game in question and could be subject to sanctions (suspensions, fines) as outlined in Hockey Alberta's minimum suspension guidelines. |

NAFHA is holding four Free Agent shinny skates.
These skates are for players looking for teams that would be interested in playing on a team with other Free Agents. If there is enough interest to make a team/team(s), then we will put them together!
Currently we are looking at a Rec B team and a T2 or Rec A team (depending on interest/skill level). The skates are:
Monday September 17 - 10:15pm - Terwillegar - T1/T2/Rec A
Tuesday September 18 - 9:15pm - Donnan - Rec B Sunday September 23 - 5:45 - Michael Cameron - T1/T2/Rec A Sunday September 23 - 7:30 - Michael Cameron - Rec B
Please bring $10 to help cover the cost of the ice.

Just a reminder that players who have previously played for a NAFHA team and are trying out for a different team require either a permission to skate form or a release from their previous team.
For Recreational teams, the release form can be found here.
For Competitive teams (Tier 1 and Tier 2), releases are requested and confirmed through HCR. Team reps, please remember to check your HCR notices in a timely manner. |

Important Hockey Alberta Deadlines |

The following are upcoming Hockey Alberta deadlines that Provincial teams (Sr. AA, A, B) will want to keep in mind:
December 1 - Deadline to submit Provincials intent to Hockey Alberta. The form that needs to be submitted is located here. Note that it must be returned with a $300 (Sr. AA, A) or $200 (Sr. B) bond payment.
December 15 - Deadline to register affiliates.
January 10, 2012 - On and after January 10th, all games played by affiliates count towards their five game maximum. If the player participates in a sixth game for their affiliate team, they become the property of that team. Exhibition and non-Provincial tournament games do not apply to this count.
